Do you already know the tiramisu from Lidl?

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: the tiramisu from Lidl.
According to FavorFlavs Lauretta, tiramisu is the best when you make it yourself. That may be true, but for €2.25 you can buy 500 grams of tiramisu at Lidl to devour with your (long) fingers, it's that good.
Two euro twenty-five, no joke, and divine. ‘Artisanal prepared, according to authentic Italian recipe,’ they say about it themselves. And: ‘with handy removable tray.’ I won't venture into that authentic recipe, but the latter can be objectively confirmed.
Why is this such a hit? The mascarpone is soft and applied just the way I like it (read: not too thick), but the best part: this tiramisu contains alcohol. Long fingers soaked in alcohol.
Tiramisu with alcohol
A tiramisu without alcohol can be fine, but with it, it's just a bit tastier (and an added bonus: then my kids stay away with their grabby little claws). The Silver Spoon, the bible of authentic Italian cuisine, opts for classic brandy, but Vin Santo (Tuscan dessert wine made from dried grapes), Marsala (fortified wine from Sicily), and Amaretto are also often used.
I have no idea what Lidl has put in this tiramisu because I can't read those letters on the back, but honestly: I don't care a bit for those two euros.
This is just a bowl of pure pleasure; if I were you, I would get it home quickly. Thank me later.
