As the ultimate sugar addict, I am always on the lookout for the latest super sweet and delicious baked goods. That’s why I recently discovered something amazing that I absolutely want to share with you. On the Lindengracht in Amsterdam, there is bakery Saint-Jean, where you can get delicious pastries and coffee. The absolute best thing they prepare here are the pistachio cruffins, or the pistachio pearls. I describe it as a mix between a croissant and a donut filled with cream of crunchy pistachios. And yes, it really tastes just as good as it sounds. The first time I tasted this, I went completely crazy; I simply couldn’t believe that this really existed.

While I am typing this, I want to run there again right away. The nice thing is that Saint-Jean is open seven days a week, so having breakfast with a pistachio pearl is possible every day. For now, I keep it to every Saturday, unless the baked goods are sold out, which I have experienced a few times already. But don’t worry: they often restock, so definitely hang around a bit in the area so you can grab the next round. Trust me: this is really something you haven’t tasted before, so go experience it.
