Viral on TikTok: a crepe with just one ingredient

1 ingredient for crepes

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: Viral on TikTok: a crepe with just one ingredient.

With a little improvisation, you can often get quite far in the kitchen. Even if your kitchen cabinets and fridge are empty, you often have the ingredients at home to make pancakes.

Because with three, two, and even one ingredient, it can already be done. Yes, you read that right: just one. What is that? Milk! Now you might think: this will never work, but the videos appearing on TikTok prove otherwise.

Here's how to make it
TikToker Hugh uses soy milk for his # crepe challenge. Pour a small layer into the pan, let it cook just long enough until most of the milk has evaporated, leaving you with a very thin, crispy sweet pancake. Note: flipping is not necessary. In the test, Hugh tops his crispy crepe with fruit and honey (Nutella works too!), which means it's not really just one ingredient anymore, but this does apply to the base. But hey, we can live with that because eating a dry pancake is just so boring.

Opinions on whether this is really tasty vary. This variant is made with soy milk, but does it work with other types too? There's only one way to find out, and that's to join in on this TikTok hype. So, give it a try.
