The 3 things you must do in Disneyland Paris

By

With one of my best friends, we have created a new ‘tradition’ for the past two years: once a year to Disneyland Paris. Disney World in Orlando is of course also on our bucket list, but that will require some saving and better planning. To be completely honest, Disneyland Paris is just too much fun to visit. But even for this park, it is handy to plan everything well in advance so that you get the most out of your trip. And for that, I have the ultimate three tips for you. This will guarantee that Disneyland Paris, no matter how long you go, will be a success.

1. Book in advance restaurants
Especially if you are going for multiple days, it is so nice to have a leisurely lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants - so much more atmospheric and tastier than the take-away options. My personal favorites are Walt's — an American restaurant, Bistrot Chez Rémy, and Captain Jack's. The latter is actually located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, so you can see all the boats passing by. However, it can be a bit cold, so definitely bring a sweater or jacket if you are going to eat here.

2. Buy a Premier Access pass
You have two options here: the Disney Premier Access Ultimate, where you can skip the line at all participating attractions without a time slot (there is a separate entrance for these pass holders). I stayed in Disneyland Paris for two days and had this Premier Access Ultimate for both days; it’s really such an amazing recommendation. You can definitely do all the attractions you want and still have enough time left to have a leisurely lunch, for example. Of course, it is an extra expense, but in my opinion, it is more than worth the money, especially since a trip to Disneyland Paris is already an expense and this makes your stay so much more relaxing and enjoyable. A slightly cheaper option is the Disney Premier Access, which you can buy per attraction, giving you a time slot to skip the line.

3. Definitely don’t miss the shows
I only did this for the first time this year because I thought it was a bit of a ‘waste’ of time — I preferred to be on the rides than watching the shows, but because I had that Premier Access Ultimate, I suddenly had time for it and it was really so much fun. Disneyland was celebrating its 30th anniversary, so this parade was entirely themed around that anniversary, and it was absolutely amazing to see. The dance (so fun: many visitors now know all the moves and dance along enthusiastically), the Disney characters, the music… Truly the ultimate Disney atmosphere. During my next visit, I really want to see the Lion King show, so definitely keep an eye on when it plays.
