Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: this is how you turn your baguette with herb butter into a really tasty snack.

I think the baguette with herb butter has been part of everyone's standard menu repertoire. Probably somewhere between leaving the parental home, studying, and going out with such bad hangovers that you couldn't cook, but had too little money to order something. And honestly: they are 99 cents for two pieces at the Appie, so you are also a thief of your own wallet if you don't take them, right.

Baguette with herb butter is actually always a good idea, even if you have graduated, the hangovers have become milder, and you are more of a kitchen prince(ss). And it's nice to complain too, because there is always too little herb butter in between. But I have found something delicious for that.

I present to you: the deluxe baguette with herb butter
The other week I was eating at a friend's house who happened to have this baguette in the fridge. ‘Shall we?’ she asked, and of course, I had no objections, except for that meager filling. But we pimped it up and it was honestly so delicious that I want to pass on this tip. So when you're at the supermarket, make sure to also bring mozzarella. That can be, if you want to stay in the same category, the really cheap ones, but preferably one that is a bit more expensive and a bit more flavorful.

Simple and so delicious!
Make sure you have olive oil and salt and pepper at home. Optionally some more herbs, but this should work as well. And what you do then: slice the mozzarella and put those slices in the cuts of the baguette. Sprinkle some olive oil over it, add some pepper and salt, and into the oven it goes.

Sounds very simple, it is, but really: so delicious. Next time I think I will also throw some Parmesan cheese over it, because that seems irresistible to me too. You can definitely experiment well with this baguette, but just with the addition of mozzarella, it's already really *chef’s kiss*. ENJOY!
