These are the best paid side jobs for young people

Side jobs where you earn the most money

As a teenager, I went through quite a few side jobs, so I can say that I have experienced where you can earn the most money per hour. That's what it's all about at that age: earning as much money as possible as quickly as you can, which you then saved up to go to Lloret de Mar in the summer. We’ve all been there. Especially for you, I have listed the (most fun) best-paying jobs for young people.

1. Cleaning for the elderly
I did this job for years and I can't recommend it enough: cleaning as a domestic helper for the elderly. Of course, it doesn't sound very attractive, and I must admit that it can be quite gross to clean someone else's toilet, but the coziness makes up for a lot. They always enjoy having a cup of coffee, and before you know it, time has flown by. That fifteen euros per hour is really nice, I can tell you.

2. Bartending at events
Imagine standing behind the bar at a festival like Lowlands. Feel free to call me. With some nice music in the background, you easily get through the day, and often you're there with people your own age. That’s sometimes just a bit more fun than 50-year-old Gerda next to you, who is in the middle of her midlife crisis and criticizes everything you do. In terms of hourly wage, it really depends on your employer, but most earn between ten to fifteen euros per hour. Not bad if you’re there all day.

3. Tutoring
This used to be my dream job: tutoring. You can set your own hours and determine how much money you charge. Parents are quite willing to pay well for two hours of tutoring a week if their child passes that one math test. Therefore, you can easily ask for ten euros per hour, and with a few clients a week, that adds up quickly.

4. Call center
You really have to be the type who doesn't take no for an answer, because in this job, you only get rejected over the phone. In a call center, you have to call all day to promote your company, and nine times out of ten, people are not waiting for this. If you make a sale or reach a certain target, you often get a bonus on top of your normal salary of about thirteen euros per hour.

5. Hostess
I see this happening more and more around me. You sign up with a temp agency, and then you have a different job every day. It could be that one day you're at a beach tent and the next day you're promoting a company in the city. Now, this job is not for everyone, because if you're like me and want stability, then I think this is not the job for you. The salary, on the other hand, is ideal, because you can easily earn 15 euros per hour, which is why it is so popular.
