Beyoncé officially has the worst fans

Yesterday, history was made: Beyoncé has now won a total of 32 Grammys (and has been nominated 79 times), which is the most ever for an artist. Beyoncé was over the moon, and you would think her fans would be thrilled as well. Well, not so. She did not win the award for Best Album, as that went to Harry Styles. Now, I am open to the discussion that Harry Styles is the rightful winner; his album Harry’s House is simply a stellar album, with the monster hit As It Was being the greatest proof of that.

Of course, tastes differ, but I really didn't think Beyoncé's album Renaissance was that great, and I personally find Break My Soul to be a very unoriginal song. Adele was also nominated with her album 30, and I don't think that's her best work either. These three were definitely the biggest contenders, and Harry Styles was the eventual winner.

But Beyoncé's fans did not take that lightly and made it clear. During his acceptance speech, for example, ‘get off the stage’ was shouted, and there was a lot of noise coming from the present Beyhive. The fans' commentary was so obviously present that Taylor Swift decided to stand up to support her ex. She knows better than anyone how it feels when your moment is ruined by Beyoncé fans. In her case, it was one fan in the form of Kanye West, but still.

What I find unfortunate about this is that Queen B. knows very well how intense her fans are, yet she does nothing about it. This is not the only example of that. Take Selena Gomez, who calls on her fans to be a bit nicer (in other words: ‘Just be normal’) to Hailey Bieber, who received a tremendous amount of hate from the Selenators.

And even worse: these are not just her fans. Journalist Ernest Owens also joined in the booing. Meine gute, how sad this is.
