The string is the bikini trend for this summer
My Instagram is currently flooded with the most risqué bikini photos of celebs, as if suddenly all of Hollywood is on vacation en masse. Just look at Kendall Jenner, who has been non-stop flaunting her toned body on the gram lately – not exactly mega surprising for a Kardashian-Jenner. I've also spotted Lizzo multiple times in a bikini and Kate Hudson recently shared a spicy snap of herself by her pool. One thing these women all have in common: the bikini bottom has never been this small. So you guessed it: we have a new trend on our hands. Summer 23 is the turn of the ‘stringkini’.
In South America, we will surely be seen as late bloomers, but after a long wait, the Dutch coast is finally ready for it. That prudish nonsense is long out of date. And let's be honest: such a cheeky string looks much better than a granny panty where your butt disappears? Your legs look longer, your waist spontaneously becomes smaller, and your butt finally gets 99 percent brown. A win-win, if you ask me.
Quickly grab those dumbbells and start squatting, because this summer you'll be wearing a bikini bottom of just a few square centimeters. Sun’s out, bums out, and if it were up to Kate: theirs out. Why not?
