Mark October 4th in your calendar, because that's when the four-part documentary series about David Beckham will be available online. And yes, you’ll want to see it even if you might not like football. In fact, you’ll want to see it even if you don’t find David Beckham interesting as a person. From the looks of the trailer, it’s going to be a truly intimate look into his life, career, and all the ups and downs.

The documentary series is called Beckham and promises us a unique behind-the-scenes look at the life of this former top footballer, but also the unpleasant sides and the mistakes he made in his career. It’s hard for us to imagine, but the press in England is truly merciless, and David Beckham has felt that too. Whether it was about his relationship with Victoria (then still) Adams or his outbursts on the field that earned him red cards: the press feasted on it.

Personally, I am very curious if they will also discuss his infidelity in the marriage with Victoria, because to be honest: it would be a bit special if that’s not included. The rumors of his cheating have never completely stopped, but the affair with his assistant and nanny Rebecca Loos was big news at the time, and not just in England. In the trailer, it seems for now that they are still portraying the perfect, still-in-love couple, but I find it very hard to believe that their relationship hasn’t had a little dip after this affair came to light.

Well, we will all notice: on October 4th, all episodes will be online.
