Want to make: a glitter cocktail for the holidays

I don't know about you, but my TikTok and Instagram feed is full of cocktail recipes with a glittery, festive touch. Maybe that says more about me than I would like to admit (am I the only one whose month consists of about 75 percent Sauvignon blanc?), but I have forwarded ten of them to the family chat with the urgent words: we have to try this. The only problem was: where does everyone find those glitters to make their cocktails look so festive? Luckily, we just found out in the editorial office that Albert Heijn has the answer, resulting in us all making glitter cocktails this weekend.
Are you in too? Here's how you can easily make this festive cocktail for four:
This is what you need
- Cotton candy strawberry
- 1 bottle of gold glitter spray
- 1 bottle of champagne
Ready, set, glitter bombs
The more devices competing in the battle for Queen B tickets, the better your chances. Don't just grab your phone, but also your computer, tablet, laptop, everything you have at home. Also, open multiple browsers. Who knows, Google Chrome might be faster than Firefox or Safari.
Divide the cotton candy into 4 tufts, spray the tufts 6 times with the glitter spray and fold them closed to make a glitter bomb.
Whatever you do, if you press the F5 key (refresh), you'll get a nasty STD. Just remember that. So don't press it, or you'll end up at the back of the line again.
Pour the champagne into the glass.
At exactly 10:00 AM, when ticket sales start, have all your screens open (no, not exaggerating; as I just said, already at 6:00 AM...). Sitting on the site before 10:00 AM is pointless. You may be on the site, but you're not in the queue for the tickets.
Drop your homemade glitter bombs into the glass and stir for an extra sparkling effect.
Tip: you can also skip the cotton candy and add glitters with a quarter teaspoon of the gold glitter dust. Both products can be found in the baking aisle and cost less than four euros. So run to Albert Heijn!
