OMG: is Gossip Girl seriously coming back?
Guys, this is not a drill. I repeat: this is NOT a drill. There is life again on the Instagram account of the series Gossip Girl. So what? you might think, but this is big news.
The reboot of Gossip Girl was actually canceled not too long ago after two seasons and then it went quiet. That cancellation was to be expected, as it is quite an expensive series to make (the streets of New York are not cheap to shut down) and the viewership numbers were quite low. I watched both seasons, but I wasn't very impressed. The charm of the city as we saw it in the original version, that same charm with the characters... It just wasn't there. Only Thomas Doherty, who plays Max Wolfe (the ‘new’ Chuck), I liked, the rest acted just as well as a cardboard cutout.
Fans from the very beginning thought so too; the reboot could therefore count on a lot of criticism. Did they do anything with that? It is certainly clear that something is going on behind the scenes, as the following message appeared on Instagram.

Pay special attention to the words ‘Welcome back’ and of course our old, familiar cast that we see in the photo. A reboot with the entire cast from back then would of course be amazing, but that chance is exactly zero. So what will come? A new reboot, but done right? Either way, I can't wait.
