Is Harry Potter being turned into a series?

By
A series is likely being made of Harry Potter

Time to make you feel really old: the first Harry Potter film is already from 2001. That was 22 years ago, but I can still remember it like it was yesterday and because of that I feel like a crazy grandma right now. Recently, I held another Harry Potter film marathon (highly recommended), but I must admit: the books remain so much more magical. They also kept getting thicker, making it harder to include all the storylines in the films. Logical, but still a shame.

Now I know that the films are really a sanctuary for many, but Daniel Radcliffe has always been a thorn in my side. Yes, he looks exactly like the description of Harry in the book, but for me there was one big downside: his acting talents were still very much hidden back then. And when you're acting with big names like Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, and Richard Harris, it really stands out that you're acting like a cardboard cutout.

But anyway, it looks like we're getting a second chance for Harry Potter and that we all get to experience the magic again: Warner Bros. is in talks about a possible series, also with author J.K. Rowling. The plan is to make a separate season for each book, which we can then watch on HBO.

I think that's amazing, because in a season you can include so much more than in the films. Also in terms of technology, it will only look more beautiful and even more impressive than in the films, and perhaps we'll see some familiar faces; Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) has indicated that he is interested. Maybe he can play Percy this time?

And... Can Robert Pattinson come back as Cedric Diggory?
