For soup, you can honestly wake me up in the middle of the night, but it has to be real soup. Dishes that don't belong in a bowl don't necessarily need to be transformed into a soup. Take the trend I saw on TikTok: lasagna soup. Uh… What?

TikTokker Danny Loves Pasta shared this recipe at the request of artist SZA, and you can't really say ‘no’ to that. He previously made a TikTok with this ‘soup’ and apparently it became quite popular on the app. Why exactly, I will never know. But people are loving it; this recipe has already garnered over ten million views.

Here's how to make the lasagna soup
According to Danny, the secret lies in the pasta sauce he uses. Ready-made, from the brand Rao’s Homemade. A brand I wasn't familiar with, but Google tells me it's available for order from the Netherlands. For a spicy price: 32 euros per jar if you want it shipped to the Netherlands. I find that a tad too much, so I guess I'll just make my own sauce — probably tastes even better.

Just take a look at the final result below; it actually looks pretty good. Although I personally see no difference between a pasta sauce with lasagna sheets and this ‘soup’, but hey, all for the views and lasagna soup just sounds a lot better. Bon appetit!
