Holiday

If you're in Mallorca, you must visit these hotspots

Mallorca hotspots

I surely can't be the only one who initially thinks of an old-fashioned drinking holiday when you mention the island of Mallorca. And of course, that's not entirely unjustified with places like Magaluf and El Arenal, where all the young people hang out. But outside of those two towns, Mallorca has so much more to offer. In my opinion, it is even one of the most beautiful islands in Europe, and that for not even that much money. This summer, I will be there again, and these will be the hotspots I definitely want to visit again. No, not just want: MUST.

Sóller
If you are staying nearby or have the luxury of a rented car, this authentic little town is definitely worth the miles. It is a typical Mediterranean spot with dozens of narrow alleys and cozy terraces. Through the center, there is a train track on which an old-fashioned train runs to Port de Sóller, or the coast. Here you have a sandy beach (surprising for Mallorca) with nice eateries and a view that is breathtaking. Oh yes, one more thing: order a Sóller Bomb as a drink. Sóller is known for its oranges, so you really shouldn't leave the town without tasting their famous orange juice.

Cala Llombards
Mallorca is the place if you love picturesque coves, and one of the most beautiful remains Cala Llombards. The bright blue sea, the white sand, the rocks: it is stunning. You can also climb these rocks via a path, and if you feel like it, you can even jump off them. Just be careful: in the summer, it gets really crowded, so get in that car on time, or there will be no spot for you.

Sa Calobra
Not everyone prefers to spend their entire vacation on the beach. Especially for these adventurous vacationers, I have a tip: dare to visit Sa Calobra. It is located in the north of Mallorca and can be reached by car or bus. It starts with the drive, which is certainly not for the faint-hearted due to all the narrow hairpin bends. Once you arrive, you really land in seventh heaven. That view is indescribable. And don't worry for the beachgoers among us: there is also a cove where you can catch up on your lost sun hours.

Cap Rocat Sea Club
When it's your turn to choose a nice restaurant, please choose this one. It's called Cap Rocat and it's right on the coast, just below the nightlife area El Arenal. But luckily, you won't notice anything of that! Cap Rocat is located in a former military fort that has been converted into a luxury hotel and restaurant. You can imagine that the decor is already amazing, but that's not all. You have a view of the sea and with a bit of luck, you can catch the sunset. And I haven't even mentioned the food yet. The menu mainly features fish, but there are also plenty of other meat dishes, salads, and vegetarian options. A glass of wine with it, and you have that ultimate vacation feeling. No thanks needed.
