How expensive it is to go to Coachella

This weekend, everyone who represents anything in Hollywood or in influencer land is heading to California, because the festival of the year has begun: the first weekend of Coachella. Personally, I am especially curious if we will get proof this weekend that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are actually dating and I also always love to see all the outfits. After all, it's Coachella and that means everyone goes all out with their looks.
But if you thought Coachella is just a kind of fashion show, you are mistaken: the line-up is actually really good. On Friday, Bad Bunny, Gorillaz, Burna Boy, and The Chemical Brothers will perform, on Saturday you have The Kid Laroi, Charli XCX, and Underworld (who are also coming to Lowlands, highly recommended) and Sunday will be closed with Frank Ocean, Calvin Harris, and Björk. And there are many more acts: in total, there are about a hundred acts this weekend.
Personally, I feel every year that all influencers and celebs are invited and therefore don’t have to pay anything (to be honest, I am quite jealous of that) and that it is unaffordable for us normies. But how expensive is it actually to go to Coachella?
The regular tickets are between 549 and 649 dollars (excluding service fees), but you can also buy VIP tickets, which start at 1069 dollars and go up to about 2737 dollars. With that, you have access to certain separate areas at the stages, can go to special VIP food tents and bars, and the toilets are a bit more luxurious (with air conditioning). Sure, that's a lot of money, but it still seems quite reasonable to me. Especially if that’s your chance to, for example, hook up with Harry Styles, Timothée Chalamet, or Kendall Jenner.
But of course, there are more costs involved, because you still don’t have accommodation included. You can camp at the festival, but that will cost you another 149 dollars extra. Celebs obviously don’t do that; they rent villas nearby. If you do that too, you can take a shuttle bus to the festival and back, which will also cost you another 120 dollars for the whole weekend.
And if you do go to the festival (lucky you), you actually want to be invited to the exclusive parties, like the one from Revolve. Then you have the chance to run into Leonardo DiCaprio or Rihanna. YES, please.
It is no longer possible to buy tickets for this weekend — it starts today, but there are still tickets available for next weekend. Yep, you read that right: Coachella is NOT sold out. My bank account doesn’t allow it at the moment, but visiting this festival is definitely on my bucket list.
