A bit about the reunion of Special Forces VIPS

By
special forces

Okay, one more time then. One more time enjoying the motivational speeches from Eer that I have secretly started to appreciate a bit, one more time watching the tough struggle of the candidates while I drape myself in the most comfortable position ever and one more time having all sorts of opinions about what I am going to see in the next 45 minutes. Really looking forward to it, I already miss next week. Ready for the reunion of Special Forces VIPS? Let’s go:

1. Oh… The whole point was to get people into survival mode. Yes, say that right away. I spend my day from the moment I open my eyes already in fight or flight, I don’t need a cold, wet, and dirty adventure for that.

2. Why do they have to walk a six-kilometer path to reach the reunion? Haven’t these people suffered enough already?

3. My goodness, I immediately jump into the position of Kajs: ‘NUMBER SIX! FRONT SUPPORT!’ Remind me to book a trauma therapy session once this season is over.

4. Haha, Koen: ‘I became more unstable by the hour.’ This is exactly how I have felt over the past eight weeks, Koen, and I’m just watching it. From behind a cushion, mind you.

5. Oh yes, a reunion = reviewing everything at a breakneck pace. Usually a bit boring, now a very special form of self-torture. I. Still. Can’t. Handle. This!

6. I’m asking this for a friend: what is the purpose of such a bag over your head before you go into an interrogation? Aside from the fact that I have never seen such a ridiculous scene.

7. Fabrizio’s interrogation seriously reminds me of that last week of school, when you think you’ve gotten away with everything and then you still get called in by your parents at the last minute with the question: ‘How do you think it went?’

8. I can still find myself so wonderfully in Koen: ‘You're only on a mission, you're only being terrorized.’ I feel this when I have to work, refuel, and do groceries in one day.

9. Aaah, I’m melting from how proud Erik is of Jorien. I have my birthday in three weeks (she turns 30, ladies and gentlemen) and I really didn’t know what to ask, until now: a motivational speech from Erik. It’s my dearest wish since ten minutes ago.

That’s it then. I’m going to miss them, these people. Oh, and before you start with: yes but Soof, you know you can experience all this yourself by signing up for the Unbreakable Academy? Yes, I know that and I don’t want to talk about it here. I. Would. NEVER. Anyway, candidates, staff, and dearest readers, thank you for the past weeks. I enjoyed it but now I really need to recover from this wet, cold, and dirty ride (I actually always watched this while eating on my warm couch with a piece of chocolate because I had been so brave) and I really look forward to seeing you again in the next season.

Bye!
