Actually, I am quite a bit proud that I come from Zeeland, because compared to the Randstad it really has its advantages: within forty minutes I am in Antwerp and on a warm day I can cycle to the beach. Yes, you heard that right: cycling. Do you also have such a need for that holiday feeling? Then just come for a few nights to Zeeland. I have listed the most beautiful accommodations and you will see that it is not at all the rural backwater it may seem.

B&B Huis der Boede in Koudekerke
If you are used to nothing but the princess treatment from your partner, then this bed & breakfast in Koudekerke is definitely the ultimate stay for you. The castle is located in the middle of a meadow and within a few minutes you are at the beach in Zoutelande. Indeed, that one place from that overplayed song by Bløf, yes.

Summum Suites in Domburg
A stay in Domburg cannot be missing from the list, because it is personally one of my favorite spots on the Zeeland coast. Domburg is not too big and the atmosphere is always good. In summer it can get busy, so with this luxury suite you are just a bit away from the crowd. But no worries: you are still within walking distance of the center.

Boutique Hotel Jersey in Goes
Here I regularly have a drink with friends on the weekend, because it is a hotel and restaurant in one. It is located in the heart of the center and due to all the renovations it has now become a luxury hotel. Although the city itself may not be by the beach, it has many shops and nice eateries, so it is definitely worth a try.

Hotel de Blanke Top in Cadzand-Bad
If you are not averse to a bit of luxury, then you will surely find this hotel interesting. It is right on the coast and the hotel itself has an indoor pool and a sauna. Perfect to completely unwind. One big plus: Cadzand-Bad is right on the border, so within fifteen minutes you are in Belgian Knokke.

Boutique Hotel Helder in Renesse
Renesse really gives me that typical holiday feeling and I am certainly not the only one. It is a lovely spot right on the coast, but it is often not quiet there due to all the tourists. Oh well, you do have a beautiful hotel with super deluxe suites. Just take a look for yourself, then you will understand what I mean and perhaps you will just accept those tourists.
