Romantic restaurants in Europe

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: the 5 most romantic restaurants in Europe, part 2.

Last time I wrote about the most romantic restaurants in Europe, but in my search, I came across many more beautiful tips. Enough to make a part 2 (and maybe even a part 3), because Europe is full of beautiful, special, and especially romantic restaurants. Where should you go?

With these five, you are guaranteed to have an ultimate romantic dinner. Whether it's the view, the setting, or the amazing food — there's something for everyone. But actually, you just want to try them all…

THE 5 MOST ROMANTIC RESTAURANTS IN EUROPE

1. The Medina Restaurant, Malta
This restaurant has been around for 500 (!) years and is one of the most famous restaurants in Malta. Despite its age, it feels modern and retains that old, romantic atmosphere from the past. And the food is also exceptionally good: this restaurant is consistently recommended by Michelin every year.

2. La Chèvre d’Or, Èze (France)
If you really want to do it right here, you should also stay overnight; this restaurant is part of the hotel of the same name. The view from the restaurant is truly unmatched, and no, I'm not exaggerating. It sits atop a mountain in the French Riviera, it's incredibly luxurious, and all the restaurants and bars the hotel has to offer are equally beautiful. But if you want the best food, this is the place to be.

3. La Sponda at Le Sirenuse, Positano (Italy)
Positano is of course already very romantic, but this restaurant makes it just a little bit better. With a view of perhaps the most famous picture of Positano, it won't surprise you that this is a beloved spot among influencers who want to snap a picture there. Well, I get it: it's really so beautiful here.

4. Konoba Jastozera, Vis (Croatia)
Croatia has been on my bucket list for a very long time, and when I finally go there, I absolutely want to visit this restaurant. And of course, I want to sit at one of the tables in your ‘own’ kind of private cave, with a view over the water. If you're a fish lover, you have another reason not to skip this restaurant: it's renowned for its fresh seafood, such as lobster.

5. Le Wine Bar des Marolles, Brussels (Belgium)
But even closer to home, there is plenty of romance to be found. For example, take the train to Brussels and go to this wine bar. Although that name really undersells what it is; you can also enjoy amazing food there. Really fine dining, with the best wines to accompany it. Sounds like the perfect evening to me, but when you also imagine that you're dining in a cozy cellar with just a handful of tables, then you know: it's going to be a special evening.
