Netflix tip of the day: Down for Love

If you're feeling a bit down, I have the best pick-me-up for you. Down for Love is now on Netflix and if this doesn't make you intensely happy, then I don't know what will. As you can somewhat gather from the name, this is indeed a show about people with Down syndrome who are looking for love.
You might already know this concept from Love on the Spectrum, which is also on Netflix and just as fun. The difference is that that series takes place in Australia, while Down for Love is set in New Zealand. Added bonus: you also get to see a lot of the beautiful country.
But oh, this is truly the sweetest series in ages. The people we meet in this series are so sweet, so pure and genuine. Their view on love is the absolute sweetest and lines like ‘I don’t like her. I LOVE her,’ might seem a bit cringy in a romcom, but here they are spoken with a hundred percent sincerity and I just hope that someone will one day talk about me with such love — isn't it just too cute?
But even if you're not feeling down, you still want to watch this. Down for Love is funny, honest, and so sweet it makes you want to cry. Yes, seriously: I've wiped away tears, just from happiness because it's so lovely. I'm such a softie too.
