For enthusiasts: new erotic thriller on Netflix

In the meantime, we can say that this is the new genre on Netflix, as we have been flooded with erotic thrillers lately. I blame 365 Days for this, which is not only the worst erotic thriller ever made but perhaps the worst movie ever released on Netflix. But well, you won't hear me complain anymore, because fortunately, they are getting better in this genre. In fact, this new addition is even first seen in theaters.

Fair Play will be showing in a number of cinemas starting September and will be available on Netflix from October 13. Let's not kid ourselves; we are of course waiting until it is available to stream online.

Fair Play is about Emily and Luke, a happy couple living in New York who have just gotten engaged. Unfortunately, all that happiness comes to an end when Emily gets promoted by her boss. You would think this is a reason to celebrate life, but that promotion actually turns their whole life upside down — and not in a good way.

Emily and Luke are not only partners but also colleagues, and Emily's promotion causes the power dynamics in their relationship to become completely skewed. From that moment on, things only get darker, as we see in the trailer.

Fun fact: Emily is played by Phoebe Dyvenor, whom we know from Bridgerton.
