People share: ‘This is my weirdest pregnancy craving’

I have never been pregnant, so I can't imagine this at all. Strange combinations like pickles with something sweet like chocolate sauce: no thanks. Yet, it seems to occur in many pregnancies. This is also the case on Reddit, where parents shared their strangest cravings. Who dares to try this?

1. ‘My pregnant friend wanted to eat sand so badly that she cried. Apparently, it's a condition called pica that occurs more often during pregnancies; it’s due to iron deficiency.’

2. ‘I loved sucking on wet washcloths. Pregnancy is so weird.’

3. ‘Cream cheese with every meal. Mashed potatoes with cream cheese became my favorite. But it was also good on pizza and I even ate it on chocolate cake.’

4. ‘Strawberry ice cream with a stick of beef jerky that I used as an edible spoon.’

5. ‘I only had one craving and that was gravy from KFC. I put it on chicken so much until I realized it still wasn't enough, and then I just drank it from the container.’

6. ‘Slices of white bread with mustard. The first time I wanted this, I cried because our mustard had just run out. But once I ate it, it was amazing.’

7. ‘Honey on EVERYTHING. Olives as a meal. I could eat kilos of olives per week.’

8. ‘All my food had to be orange.’
