Admittedly: I saw this on GeenStijl. They posted a photo that a Twitter user had taken of an advertisement in the newspaper. The Postcode Lottery invites people to a cultural activity. The Anne Frank House, that is. Nothing wrong with that, of course. The Postcode Lottery also says that a visit prompts reflection and contemplation. That seems true to me, yes, when you visit the house where a Jewish family was in hiding before they were almost all gassed. But the Postcode Lottery wants to keep it all a bit cozy.

So if you sign up now for a visit between October 24 and December 15, 2023 (planning ahead is also an art) and then between 4:00 PM and 7:30 PM, you will receive a free snack board worth €7.50. For the collectors among us, it also states that the action can be well combined with discount voucher 120, ending with bold letters: ‘STILL 2000 snack boards available’.

Wow. I have rarely found the words ‘no style’ more fitting than under this advertisement from the Postcode Lottery, I believe.
