Frozen Aperol Spritz

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: frozen Aperol Spritz is what you want today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow.

No summer goes by for me without clocking a few liters of Aperol (or eating it; in a cake, cheesecake, or cookies). In the classic way, it's already a top cocktail, but do you know what's really delicious? A frozen Aperol Spritz!

INGREDIENTS
For 4 Frosé Aperol:
350 ml Aperol
350 ml orange juice
125 g frozen strawberries
750 ml prosecco or champagne
1-2 handfuls of ice cubes
Orange slices

And this is a slush variant, just like the Frosé, that's why we also call this cocktail the Aperol Frosé. There is no better drink for those scorching summer days, believe me. And besides, a frozen Aperol Spritz is super easy to make. All you need is a bottle of Aperol, orange juice, frozen strawberries, prosecco (or champagne, why not!), ice, and some orange slices.

Here's how to make the Aperol Frosé

  1. Pour the Aperol and orange juice into a deep baking dish and place it in the freezer for 4 to 6 hours until it's well frozen.
  2. When you're going to serve the drink, put the frozen Aperol and orange juice in a blender along with the frozen strawberries, bubbles, and ice. Turn on the blender until it's a smooth mixture, without ice chunks.
  3. Then pour it into cocktail glasses, decorate with an orange slice, and cheers!
