We look forward to the sun and scorching temperatures all year round. But when the time comes, we want just one thing: to cool down. And with these choco yogurt bites, you'll be back to temperature in no time. The summer hit of this year, if you ask us.

If there's one platform we need to go to for the latest food trends, it's TikTok. We've really been overwhelmed by the fantastic recipes lately. fried mozzarella balls, lasagna soup, Espresso Martini with Parmesan cheese: how many genius minds are wandering around this planet?! My expectations were high for these choco yogurt bites. And yep, they were exceeded again. This is a summer snack to stay.

HERE'S HOW TO MAKE FROZEN CHOCO YOGURT BITES
The frozen choco yogurt bites are incredibly simple to make. Another plus: you only need 3 ingredients. What do you need to get?

  • 250 grams of red fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, or a mix of everything)
  • 200 grams of quark or thick yogurt
  • 150 grams of chocolate
  • Optional: a spoonful of honey and some sea salt

First, chop the red fruit into small pieces. This is not necessary for blueberries, they are small enough already. Then mix in the quark or yogurt. Want it a bit sweeter? Add a spoonful of honey. Stir everything well together. Grab a large plate or a cutting board (I used a plastic cutting board) and place a sheet of baking paper on it. Now make small piles of the yogurt-fruit mixture on the plate or board.

Tip: use an ice cream scoop, it makes it much easier and gives you equal balls. Place the piles in the freezer so they harden slowly. This takes about 1 to 1.5 hours on average. Just before you take the piles out of the freezer, melt the chocolate in a bain-marie. Dip the yogurt bites in until they are completely covered in chocolate. If you want, you can sprinkle some sea salt on top. Put them back in the freezer for another 10 to 15 minutes and voilà!

You can make them healthier by using very dark chocolate (at least 80%) and opting for unsweetened plant-based quark or yogurt. But of course, that's entirely up to you.

THE PERFECT SUMMER SNACK
The choco yogurt bites are sweet, fresh, and the perfect snack for a warm summer day. Admittedly, they are not ideal to take to the beach – they will definitely melt. But they are delicious straight out of the freezer at home. A kind of ice bonbons meets frozen yogurt. Make some space in the freezer right away. YUM!
