So that's really how it is between Robbie Williams and Geri Halliwell

If I had to be a celebrity, I would choose to be an English celebrity. And preferably in the nineties, because they are all besties. For example, George Michael invited Geri for a weekend in Saint Tropez when she left the Spice Girls. She stayed for three months.

Geri named her son after George Michael (Montague George Hector Horner) and was one of the few to speak at his private funeral.

Robbie Williams also has a special meaning in her life. He made sure she went to a clinic to fight her bulimia.

On Monday, I was at Robbie Williams in the Ziggo Dome, where he reflected on his life. The affairs (‘In the nineties I tried to love you all individually’), the successes, the alcohol (‘I have been sober for 23 years now’), but also the dark days in his life.

He was so depressed that he felt he could not talk to anyone, reach anyone, see anyone. And there was one woman without whom he would not be here now. A woman who found him and pulled him out. He would be grateful to that woman for the rest of his life. ‘And that woman is, ladies and gentlemen… Geri Halliwell.’

So their love for each other is mutual. Just like the role in their lives.

And now it only gets better, because Geri is married again to Christian Horner and Christian is the team boss of Max Verstappen. And Max is back with Kelly Piquet and oh oh oh, if I can pick up glasses at one of their garden parties, then I am already content.
