This is the percentage chance you have of finding love on Love Island.

The Dutch version starts again in just under a month: on August 21, the new season of Love Island Netherlands & Belgium begins. So we can enjoy people who would rather become influencers but insist they are ‘really here for love’ and say that a long-distance relationship between the Netherlands and Belgium ‘can work just fine’, only to come out with a statement a month after the series ends that ‘the distance was too great’ and/or ‘the relationship couldn't hold up in the real world’. Yes, if you want to give up hope for true love, you should definitely watch Love Island. In the meantime, it has become more of a race to the last one standing, who retains the most followers. Well, at least that mission has succeeded for them.
Do I sound extremely cynical now? Certainly. But for a good reason: research shows that you have the least chance of finding love on Love Island. And yes, that includes shows like Temptation Island, Are You The One, and Ex On The Beach. Ouch...
According to research, your chance (when you sign up) is 1 in 35,000 that you will find love during the show. And that includes the chance that you are actually chosen to participate.
Admittedly: this research was done on the British version, so I can imagine that your chances in the Netherlands are slightly greater; the show is immensely popular in England and that is not really the case in the Netherlands anymore. But still, I wouldn't hope for it...
