All the things you recognize when the sun starts to shine

Just a little longer to wait and we can finally say goodbye to that terrible winter dip. I look forward to this every year: longer daylight outside, a lovely bright sun, and being able to sit on a terrace. That's all I need in life. Last week the sun shone a few times already and I can't wait to put that long sleeping bag of a winter coat away in the closet. Are you, like me, also so sensitive to some fresh vitamin D? Then you will undoubtedly recognize the points below.
Spring cleaning
The sun automatically makes you more productive (it's proven), so I can't be the only one who suddenly feels the urge to get the whole house in order. When was the last time you cleaned your kitchen cabinets, for example? Yes, I thought so. Or are you going to clear out your wardrobe again? There's a good chance you'll fish out a few things that you can put on Vinted. This way you also earn something from it and have space for new items again. That's how I always think.
Less stress
Every time I am amazed at what a little sunlight can do to a person. Now I'm not the type to immediately stop all bad habits, but it almost seems like it. I haven't set foot in the gym all winter, but this week I've already gone three times. The same goes for my work: when the weather is nice, I get so much more done and automatically have less stress.
Massively booking vacations
As soon as the sun comes out, I can't get enough and want to lie on a beach somewhere immediately. Since it can still be really cold here in the Netherlands, I find that a nice excuse to book a vacation. I went all out this week by booking no less than two trips for this year: Málaga and Mallorca. Yes, I know: twice Spain. Let me enjoy.
No money left
Then we immediately come to the next point: an empty bank account. Mine has been taking quite a beating lately, because all those tickets for festivals, vacations, and weekend getaways definitely come with a price tag. And I haven't even mentioned all the packages full of summer clothes that are delivered on a daily basis. Oh well, you only live once. Unfortunately, I use this excuse a bit too often.
Metamorphosis
Because I don't step outside from October to March, my comeback really has to be at its best. That's why I've already scheduled an appointment with the hairdresser to dye my hair a bit lighter again, and that dark gel polish on my nails was also long overdue for a change. Now there's a light pink color on, always good. Maybe I'll even get a lash lift done soon. Who knows.
