It really feels like an eternity ago that the whole world was captivated by Squid Game, but it was only two years ago. It's only logical that we are long overdue for some new episodes; I recently rewatched the first season (definitely a recommendation, although I was once again inconsolable at THE scene in episode 6). Good news: Squid Game is coming back and a date has already been announced.

Well, a date might be a bit too enthusiastic; we have been given a month. In November, Squid Game: The Challenge will be online. Well, sorry if I'm making you happy with a dead bird – that second season is indeed taking a really long time, but in the meantime, this is a pretty good distraction.

People could sign up for this Squid Game: The Challenge, where ultimately thousands of dollars can be earned. So it's actually a game show, but a very extreme version (just like Squid Game is). The news leaked during the filming that some people were even injured and that it was all quite intense. Is it a kind of Wipe Out 3.0? Or do you just get eliminated immediately if you fall or get hit from behind? Secretly, I'm quite curious. Just a little longer to wait until November then.
