Beauty obsessions: the blushy makeup look of Hailey Bieber

Makeup trends come and go; one moment we are completely excited about a layer of ‘latte makeup‘ and then we switch to the summery ‘strawberry’. As much as I love it all, I still prefer to stick to the essentials: the perfect base, which in winter consists of a bit more blushy and in summer with some extra bronzer on the cheeks. Only Hailey has the gift of continuously going viral with the beauty trends she creates to slightly change that base. This time it’s with the Sugar Plum Fairy makeup look, especially for the holidays. I’m a fan! You apply a generous amount of pink blush from your cheekbones (which I love) towards your eyebrows, on your eyelids, the tip of your nose, and your lips to make it one whole, with of course her favorite brush from Hourglass. Start very subtly and build it up to the right proportions, just like Hailey does in her video: layer by layer by layer. Is the blush firmly on? Then you get to work with the shine. These are not glitters; you create a sort of wet look. She uses a gloss for this, she notes on her TikTok, but what is also perfect for this is the popular Luminizer from RMS Beauty, to achieve exactly that shine like hers. You apply it high on your cheekbone, eyelids, and the tip of your nose and voilà, you’re done with the blush base. This makes me very happy and I wear the Sugar Plum Fairy every day now.
