Planning to book a vacation or city trip soon? Then you might want to read this list, because these are destinations that Redditors swear they will never go to again. I have gathered the most striking reactions for you, but I must honestly admit: about 80 percent of the reactions were about Egypt. Now, I have never been there, but if I am to believe the Redditors, I should keep it that way...

That a fairly innocent place like Bradford in England also had to suffer, I didn't see coming. Well, a warned person counts for two: these are the non-recommendations for a trip.

1. ‘Port-au-Prince. I was really counting down the minutes, hours, and days on my watch until I could leave. It was a scary place where even the people who should protect you can attack/kidnap/murder you.’

2. ‘Cairo. I saw everything I wanted, but I would never go back. Tourists are treated like cattle by the people working in tourism. The many nice Egyptians were also deeply ashamed of it.’

3. ‘Bradford, England. It just has very little, unfortunately. The place where people ask you what you're doing there when they hear you're not from there. And not in a cheerful way, but in a way of: ‘no, seriously, what are you doing here?’
