These are the most fun podcasts to listen to in the car

Weekly, I cover about 200 kilometers to and from the always cozy editorial office of Amayzine. As a girl from Arnhem who wants to work in the world of fashion and lifestyle this is almost inevitable. Also inevitable are the traffic jams you encounter during that ride. Especially when it rains, it seems like everyone suddenly forgets how to drive. Now, a person can only listen to so many wrong sing-alongs before they slowly go crazy, so I had to come up with another way to make my time in the car a bit more enjoyable. Nowadays, I am a big fan of podcasts and I like to take the following friends along with me in the car as often as possible (because that’s how they feel by now).
Aaf and Lies will sort it out again
Aaf and Lies are really those fun wine aunts that my sister and I want to become when we grow up. Because of their podcast, which always lasts about an hour, I suddenly dread the ride home a lot less because I know they will definitely want to chat with me for an hour. With this podcast, laughing out loud is also really guaranteed. Recently, they told the oh-so-relatable story that they had canceled their appointment with the dietitian. The reason? They were too fat. I'm already chuckling as I write this and at the same time set a little reminder in my agenda that I need to let my dietitian know that my overweight and I are unfortunately also unavailable next week.
Sister & So
Am I pregnant? Absolutely not. Am I a mother? Not at all. But do I love listening to all the stories about motherhood from sisters Elise and Vita Boers? Hell yes. I also have a sister, so I can completely relate to their hilarious sister dynamics, but what I really enjoy is their segment ‘Just act normal’, in which they discuss moments when they felt that the people around them really needed to stop. Wonderful.
Geuze & Gorgels
No first world problem that can't be solved by Monica Geuze and Kaj Gorgels. From Tikkies of €2.50 to dealing with disappointments: Monica and Kaj always know what to do. They also always start the podcast with delightful stories from their own lives, which makes you feel like you're sitting with a few friends at a drink. Want to listen?.
Brothers
Just leave it to Rijk and Sam Hofman to turn that sleep-inducing feeling during a car ride into a constant state of giggles. In this podcast, the wildest stories come up, which are always doubted by the other and fought over with a: ‘Not at all!’ followed by a: ‘I swear!’ and then everything is fine again. I. Am. Crazy. About. Those. Guys.
Carice & Halina
I have always been a big fan of these two women, but together they are of course a dream team. They chat from a distance (one from New York, the other from Amsterdam) about the small and big questions of life, and you always feel like you are joining the best tea party of the week as a third friend remotely.
