On Monday I turned 31. And how better to spend your birthday than shopping? Off we go to Roermond, where my favorite outlet is located. On the way, we spontaneously decided to stay the night (including sauna). The Arresthuis is what we booked, and once we finished shopping and arrived, we actually realized what an incredibly fun place this is. In this former prison of Roermond, despite the super cool makeover, you can still see many historical elements of the prison in the building. The old cells have been transformed into rooms and suites in the cell block, and you dine among the quotes of former inmates. Oh, and this lovely spot is less than five minutes from Designer Outlet Roermond. I'm telling you: sleeping and shopping is what you want here. Enjoy!
