Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: for all licorice lovers: come up with a new flavor and win a year of free licorice.

Although the first licorice factory was in Italy, we like to claim licorice as typically Dutch and we are by far the largest consumers in the Netherlands. We eat over two kilograms per person per year, and I suspect that the FavorFlav editorial team has a pretty big share in this. Are you also such a hardcore licorice fan? Then we have a great opportunity for you. You can win a year of free licorice! You just have to do something really fun: come up with a new flavor.

It is a challenge that the licorice makers of Klepper & Klepper, also known as the tastiest licorice in the world, have just thrown into the world. Do you have it in you to come up with the new licorice flavor for them? With a bit of luck, it will be tastier than their last creation, because honestly: that seaweed flavor didn't go down too well with FavorFlav.

I can't wait to hear what bizarre licorice flavors will come up. Although I don't get excited at the thought of licorice with popcorn or pesto flavor, I am happy to be surprised. After all, I found the chocolate licorice and the licorice ice cream from Venco surprisingly tasty.
