If this is really true, then miracles are not out of this world yet. Then literally anything is possible. It could very well be that I end up with Leonardo DiCaprio. Or Harry Styles. And when people say that something like this will never happen, I respond with: ‘Why not? Kim Cattrall is back in Sex and the City, right?’ And then no one knows what to answer anymore.

According to many sources, this is actually going to happen. At first, I thought it was some kind of lame gossip, because Kim Cattrall has been very clear about the return of Samantha Jones in And Just Like That. It absolutely, one hundred percent, was never going to happen. I am very curious about what has changed now (or how much money has been offered) that has made her change her mind after all.

The usually well-informed Variety was the first to report it; Samantha Jones would appear in the second season. Unfortunately, it’s not a big role, but really just a ‘cameo’. Cattrall is said to have filmed her scene on March 22, of course in New York City. If you were hoping for a reconciliation: that’s not really in the cards. She is said to have filmed everything without seeing or speaking to the other women. How nice.

In the scene, we will see Samantha having a phone conversation with Carrie, probably to talk things out. In the first season, we saw at the end that Carrie sent her a message and that they were making plans to have a conversation soon. So there’s a good chance this is that conversation.

Unfortunately, Samantha will not be returning further, but that was to be expected. However, this has made me much more excited for that second season, so they are doing something right. The countdown has begun: it starts on June 22.
