After watching this series, you won't dare to sleep

They say that thrillers are only read by happy people. Maybe it's because you worry so little that there's a need for some extra excitement in your life? Sounds logical, but whether that's the reason, I don't know. There are so many people completely addicted to following true crime stories or tales about haunted houses and ghosts that the supply of podcasts and series on this subject is endless. I also find it quite nice, those mysterious stories where you get the feeling that a dangerous puzzle needs to be solved.
One of my latest discoveries is Paranormal Lockdown UK on Discovery+. In this program, researchers Nick and Katrina head to the most horrifying locations to see if they can discover any paranormal activity there. You can think of an abandoned old prison or a vacant hotel where all sorts of terrible things have happened. Just hearing those stories… I would already get a very uneasy feeling during the day, I don't need to stay overnight for that.
Nick and Katrina are searching for the cause of those particular sounds or apparitions that have been seen and heard there before. It's not like they just take a quick look, no, they even sleep in those terrifying places. As far as I'm concerned, it's a lovely plan for when the weather disappoints again this weekend and we can't sit on a terrace until late at night but have to crawl back under that blanket on the couch. And of course, we are extra happy that we are just lying in our own bed instead of having to lie awake in a room in a spooky hotel.
