B&B Full of Love: another search for ‘the click’ and vibes

Finally, we can enjoy date TV again: B&B Vol Liefde has started. Unlike The Bachelor, we don't have to wait a whole week to get new love content. From Monday to Friday, we can watch daily the love troubles of the special B&B owners. This season, there are again various types. In this episode, we meet Iris, Robert Jan, Mike, and Thijz.
We kick off with Robert Jan, our Gooische dandy in Scotland. With all his hunting trophies on the wall, it's a good thing he has received enough applications from women who also like to have animal heads hanging in their homes. Els is the first to arrive, and it feels cozy right away. Robert Jan doesn't hesitate to ask if she's wet, meaning from the rain. Despite the fact that B&B Vol Liefde usually attracts less trendy participants, Robert Jan talks about vibes – now I’m sure it will be a fantastic season. Els has immediately decided that she wants to keep Robert Jan for herself. After all, he is the first man she has met in a long time, as she says herself. ‘Gate locked and done’ is her plan with him. At moments like this, I always have a kind of flashforward in my head, where Robert Jan and Els make each other's lives miserable and Els drags her 33 suitcases off the property herself.
Mike is taking it easy this episode. The surf dude gets his first surf chick visiting, and it's clear that they find each other very attractive. Other than that, it's a bit meaningless, except that she almost immediately talks about her ex. Well, because Mike asked, by the way, but I would have held back for a moment that you moved abroad for love.
From Thijz, I immediately get Bram vibes. It is a bit less self-sufficient; he has gathered a lot of materials around him. To say the least, it’s quite a mess. Together with his best friend Ruben, he has made a critical selection from the applications that have come in for him (“sorry, darling. You just stay in the Netherlands”). The first woman who arrives is Ammarie, who turns out to be Paul’s sister (the one from Paul and Debbie, yes), and right from the first meeting, you feel that this match can either go really well or that a very uncomfortable turn is about to happen. Two of those quirky types together, that’s going to be exciting. When his best friend joins for dinner, it seems like Ammarie is a bit jealous: “Glad you’re here, with your red hair.” That’s the only thing she can say to the woman.
Speaking of exciting: Iris in her colorful Greek oasis has almost non-stop eye contact with René since he arrives. The fact that René calls himself a magician since his retirement doesn’t bother her. For me, it would be a reason to pack my bags and go somewhere else until he returns home. It all seems so sweet, but judging by the preview of episode 2, it’s René who is already going to get really annoyed with Iris. We have officially started.
