The beauty battle: Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi drops vs. e.l.f. Cosmetics bronzing drops

There is hardly a day that goes by without me applying a layer of bronzing drops on my face. It's a super quick way to get a nice sun-kissed color without having to wait hours for the result (read: self-tanner). In the summer, I sometimes use it on my legs as well, ideal. The D-Bronzi drops from Drunk Elephant have been going viral for a long time and are often sold out rather than in stock, especially because of the beautiful glow it gives your skin. No excessive glitter or overly brown tint, but rather very subtle and full of nourishing ingredients that make the skin very happy.

More and more brands are launching bronzing drops. The big difference? Some are very watery and thin, while others feel more like a gel. One you mix with your moisturizer and the other you do not. So check this out beforehand.

This year, e.l.f. Cosmetics launched drops that really resemble those of Drunk Elephant the most. Not surprising; e.l.f. Cosmetics deserves an award for all their good dupes in their collection. They come in three different shades, while Drunk Elephant sticks to one. Both have a gold-bronze tint and a pearlescent finish when you first see the product on your hand. You can easily mix both with your day cream, as I do after applying my SPF or even with your foundation. The more drops you use, the more intense the color becomes. I would start with a pea-sized amount; you can always add an extra drop later.

In terms of ingredients, e.l.f.‘s is much simpler than Drunk Elephant's, which is not surprising; it costs less than a third of the price. Personally, I find Drunk Elephant's just a bit nicer than e.l.f.'s. It blends a bit easier on my skin and applies flawlessly without too much effort. And my dry skin could use some extra care, hence my preference. But if you look at the price you can shop it for at e.l.f., I definitely wouldn't pass this one up.

@amayzine Are the @elfcosmetics bronzing drops the dupe of the mega-popular D-Bronzi from @Drunk Elephant? As far as I'm concerned, absolutely yes 🤩. Read all about it in the link in bio. (You can best mix the drops with your moisturizer, but applying them directly after your cream works perfectly too) #linkinbio #bronzingdrops #fyp #beauty #favorite #dbronzidrops #dbronzidupe #drops #elfcosmetics #drunkelephant #skincare ♬ pink and white frank ocean – sped up sounds
