New romantic Netflix series attracts 10 million viewers

A cup of tea, a blanket, and snuggling up on the couch with a series. For me, the perfect way to end the day. Luckily, Netflix has added another fantastic romcom. ‘Nobody Wants This’ is the new hit series that you want to binge-watch in one go.
Sexy podcast maker and the Jewish rabbi
Joanne (Kristen Bell) is a sex podcast maker who falls in love with rabbi Noah (Adam Brody) during a dinner with a friend. She has nothing to do with faith, and for him, it is his life and work. The two couldn't be more different, except that they both have rather messy love lives. Joanne dates a lot, so far without success. Noah has just broken up with his girlfriend. From their first meeting, there is attraction between the two, and it is inevitable that they will start a relationship. But of course, that is not so easy. Noah is expected to marry a Jewish girl, especially his mother is very adamant about that, and Joanne is anything but that.
Based on reality
An extra fact: the series is partly based on the real life of creator Erin Foster and her husband Simon Tikhman. He is not a rabbi, but comes from a Jewish family and had to marry a Jewish girl. Which she, just like Joanne, was not. This background makes the series credible, although there are of course some things exaggerated. A little extra drama is always nice.
Rare romantic kiss
‘Nobody Wants This’ has been in the top 10 since its release. There are ten episodes of about half an hour each. And believe me, you'll get through them quickly. The chemistry between Joanne and Noah is palpable, and even from the couch, you can feel the butterflies in your stomach. And I haven't even mentioned that kiss, so romantic! For those who love romance like ‘The Holiday’ or ‘The Notebook’, this will be your new favorite series. Binge away!
