Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: Recipe: Crème Brûlée Martini.

Last year I was completely into Moscow Mules, this year I am (just like the whole of the Netherlands, I believe) totally into Martinis. Pornstar Martini, Espresso Martini; drive me crazy. Recently I stumbled upon a Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini and I was already very excited about it... But this variant excites me even more.

Ingredients

  • 40 ml (vanilla) vodka
  • 20 ml caramel liqueur
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 40 ml cream
  • Egg yolk from 1 egg

This is actually a Crème Brûlée Martini and that really sounds like the ideal dessert? Especially if you find it too much trouble to make a crème brûlée yourself, and/or you just feel like having some alcohol with it.

Here's how to make the Crème Brûlée Martini

  • Put the ingredients (except for the brown sugar) with a few ice cubes in a shaker or blender and mix everything well together
  • Pour everything into a martini glass (that you have chilled beforehand with some ice cubes)
  • Then sprinkle the brown sugar on top and burn it with a torch, so that it caramelizes a bit. If you don't have a torch: no stress, it works fine without it or just sprinkle it on top
  • Optionally: spray some whipped cream on top, if it's not sweet enough for you yet
  • Well, a child could do the laundry, right? Honestly mega delicious and super easy to make. Win-win.
