The cutest reality TV family is back

It seems like an eternity ago when a friend said to me, “You know what you really need to start following? The Kardashians”. I remained in denial for a long time. Watching a family famous for the sake of being famous seemed immensely boring. But apparently there is something addictive about it, because when I sceptically watched for a few minutes, I wanted to see more of the pointless chatter and the deliciously over-the-top make-up looks.

By now, I am totally hooked. Somehow it's just enjoyable: watching how the drama we already know from the gossip channels was handled behind the scenes by the protagonists of that gossip. After all, the stories about this family have dried up by the time it airs, so we always already know how it ends. Or not... Indeed, in the preview of the new season, we see, for instance, Kim getting into an argument with none other than Khloé. The latter is always the ‘most normal’ sister in my eyes: very zen, not easily upset. Why this is and how this ends? For me, that's the main excuse to watch it again this time, without any shame.

From today, the new season can be streamed on Disney+. I already set my phone to ‘do not disturb’ to find out with full concentration what the Kardashian sisters have been allowed to worry about now.
