Expedition debrief: doesn't everyone get annoyed by this?
Episode 17

It's almost unbelievable, but there is life after Robinson. I'm not saying this just because Timor seems to have forgotten that in the aftermath of the Hamza-gate. For us, it's also been centuries since we spent a Sunday evening without Robinson. But the end is really in sight now, and the semi-final has been reached. With three women and two men left on the island, the tension is starting to rise enormously. And yes, also because there seems to be some kind of argument about getting rid of Hamza. Partly I agree with Ouassima: if a man had made that move, it would have been a masterstroke, but on the other hand, such things have happened before and everyone on the island was outraged then too. Voting off your friends is just not done.
During the challenges, I can never keep my attention focused.
This episode was quite something. Actually, we were watching one big challenge, and I must honestly admit that I mainly paid attention to who won. It seems impossible for me to keep watching when there is only fighting with some quotes in between where they say something like ‘and then I got to start on the puzzle, and Marijn was already working on the puzzle.’ Yeah okay nice, we just saw that. I probably don't need to explain how happy I was when Kiran won the first challenge. My favorite Robinson is in the final! I just want it for him the most. He hasn't played any dirty games, has calmly done his thing all this time, and is just a really nice person. By the way, that month of Robinson suits him very well, if I may say so.
But can I complain for a moment…?
I am going completely crazy from that constant cheering during challenges. Maybe it's not even that there is cheering, but the tone in which it is done and the lack of variation. It's basically just constantly shouted ‘Come on, you can do it!’ Yeah sorry, I really don't mean that no one should be cheered on, but can we maybe brainstorm about some new texts, phrases, and exclamations? I really think it would work better for the expedition members when they occasionally hear something different while they are trying to make a puzzle in panic. But anyway, back to the challenges. Because the outcome is unfortunately that two women will have to go home. Timor wins the second challenge and therefore leaves for Kiran's island full of fruit, with a platter of meat in his arms. He does surprise me a bit, because it seems that he can feel some emotions after all. His tears are real. But still, it's a shame that he is the second finalist. I would have preferred to see Nouchka.
