These are the special dressing room requirements of Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift

In case you've been living under a rock: Taylor Swift is coming to the Netherlands with The Eras Tour. To be precise, she will be performing on July 4, 5, and 6 at a sold-out Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, because... it's Taylor; of course all three shows are completely sold out.

The Eras Tour is already the sixth concert tour of the American singer. Her tour started last year on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, and ends, precisely 632 days later, on December 8 in Vancouver, Canada. In total, she will perform 149 shows, of which 47 in Europe and thus 3 days in Amsterdam. You must have the energy for it, but she does, judging by her shopping list that must be in the dressing room before she arrives at the show.

This ‘shopping list’ is also known as a rider. In addition to specific technical attributes that an artist can put on this list for their show, you can also make requests for, for example, the setup of your dressing room. For example, Kanye West's rider is two pages long and includes a whole lot of drinks and food, as well as a long list of personal care products. Or take Jennifer Lopez as an example: she only wants water from the brand Evian, otherwise she doesn't need it.

The staff at the ArenA this time have an angel on their shoulder, because our Taylor is easily satisfied. While Justin Bieber requires a standby private jet, her list, according to a report in Parade, mainly consists of cheap American snacks. Here they come.

  • 1 pack of chocolate milk
  • 1 bottle of grape juice from Welch's
  • 1 bag of tortilla chips from Tostitos
  • 3 boxes of mac ’n cheese from Kraft
  • 1 jar of mild salsa from Pace
  • 1 bag of shredded cheese from Kraft
  • 1 pack of butter
  • 1 six-pack of Pepsi Max
  • 1 pack of microwave popcorn
  • 2 tubs of ice cream from Ben & Jerry's
  • 1 bag of Twizzlers

What she needs that pack of butter for? God knows. In any case, she has remained pleasantly normal with her macaroni and tubs of Ben & Jerry's. And that is quite admirable, I think.
