This (intense) ‘sex position’ is currently becoming more popular among young people

We are becoming increasingly bold in bed, that's what it really comes down to. While we used to just gently move left and right, now it's a whole different kind of kinky business.

Because in the meantime, there is a pretty spicy ‘position’ that is wildly popular among young people, and that is anal sex. One in ten young people under eighteen says they have already experienced this way of, uh, making love. That's quite something, you know. Because when we say young people, we mean boys and girls aged between 16 and 24. Back then, we were still playing with Barbies, yes, and ‘going further’ was still a big deal that shocked your friends. According to sexologists, the hype is mainly due to the rise and accessibility of porn. Back in the day, yes, when we still wore loincloths, you couldn't see how something so wild actually works. And what it looks like, and so on. And how the woman should behave best. And what you should even do, so to speak.

Nowadays, we have a sexy video at our fingertips within two clicks on our phone. If we want to, that is. And so we can easily copy and yes, this is how one learns. The numbers show: since 1990, the number of young women engaging in anal sex has doubled, and among young men, it has even tripled. This is not only thanks to porn videos, but people also judge each other less than some time ago regarding sexual behavior. Some time ago, it might have been more of a taboo to announce at the kitchen table that you had tried ‘it’ from behind. Now you can just throw it into the friend group (we would recommend not mentioning it at family birthdays) and you might even get a small round of applause. The men, especially. Because for the lustful male crowd, it's still a thing, you know, to achieve something like that with their girl.

Well, it's actually something like coriander: either you love it or you want nothing to do with it. In any case: this new trend is surprising. We will never again call the average (young) Dutch person prude.
