This is really a super romantic getaway

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of everything that comes close to Pride & Prejudice, Bridgerton, and Downton Abbey. Not only how everyone is dressed, but especially the surroundings in which everything takes place: the most beautiful castles and estates pass by, with the most stunning rooms, where beds are made with satin sheets and blankets that are so fluffy it feels like you’re sleeping in a cloud.

Who wouldn’t want to be surprised with such a romantic weekend away to a castle, where you can act like a prince(ss) for a while? I’d love to act like a princess every day, but unfortunately, that’s not always accepted.

My search for the perfect place ended in Belgium; I was sold the moment I saw that long driveway and the beautiful bedrooms. You can completely picture how the carriages were driven up there and the balls and dinners that were held. Here’s a nice tip: if you’ve found the castle of your dreams, leave that tab casually open to convey the subtle hint to your loved one. Works. Every. Time.
