This is the best activity for a first date

A first date is quite exciting. You get to know each other a little, feel out whether you like each other enough to meet again, or maybe the sparks fly right away and you know almost immediately that it’s a good match. But before it can turn out that well, there’s the moment when you have to plan the date. One of you has to take the initiative to suggest a location. Most people will choose to go somewhere for drinks, but is that really the best idea for a first date? Sitting across from each other, fiddling with your glass and probably struggling to get the conversation going at first?
The answer is no. There’s a much better idea for your first date. You often hear that it’s good to generate adrenaline by doing an exciting activity together, like skydiving. But that kind of date has a big downside: you can’t really talk to each other at all. However, doing an activity together is a fantastic way to relieve the tension, reduce the pressure of starting a conversation while you’re full of nerves, and you can also laugh together right away if it’s an activity that involves skills you need to have. To avoid making the same mistake as Mike in B&B Vol Liefde, you need to ensure that it’s an activity you really do together, so that you make contact with each other. So unfortunately, wakeboarding and Efoiling are out of the question here.
Better ideas include golfing, go-karting, gaming in an arcade, or participating in a hilarious bingo night. And you can think of many more fun activities where you don’t have to dive into a deep conversation right away, but can let go of the tension and get used to each other’s company. Once that tension has eased, you’ll feel much more at ease, settle down at a cozy table in a nearby café, and then the good conversation will come naturally.
