This Netflix thriller causes quite a bit of stress

Usually, you watch a movie to relax, although that's a different story with horror and thrillers. For those who could use a little extra tension this Halloween, Netflix has a really good title. The new thriller ‘Don't Move’ raises your heart rate and gives many viewers quite a bit of stress.
Losing control
Iris (Kelsey Asbille) struggles with the loss of her son. She sees no other way out and wants to end her life in a remote forest. But there she meets Richard (Finn Wittrock), a charming man who knows how to talk her down. Their paths seem to part ways, until Richard kidnaps Iris. He gives her an injection that will completely paralyze her body within 20 minutes. As she slowly loses control over her body, she must find a way to escape from the man who wants to kill her. The whole situation already seems impossible, and the fact that Richard has done this before and knows exactly what he's doing doesn't help either. Still, Iris doesn't give up easily.
Stress and frustration
What makes this film so thrilling, and at the same time frustrating, is Iris's helplessness. After a while, she can only move her eyes. No matter how much she wants to fight, her body lets her down. We should definitely give a round of applause for Kelsey, because the way she portrays that pain and fear makes you, as a viewer, feel that despair too. Also, Richard's creepy looks and his manipulative behavior create the necessary stress. It's a constant tense wait for what his next move will be. Ideally, you would want to stop him yourself, but unfortunately, that's not possible.
Positive reactions
Since its release, ‘Don't Move’ has been in second place in the Netflix top 10. The reactions on social media are also positive, many viewers are sitting on the edge of their seats. And honestly, I completely agree. For those who aren't going trick-or-treating tonight, this film definitely deserves a spot on your Halloween watchlist. It's not hardcore horror, but it's one that keeps you engaged from start to finish.
‘Don't Move’ is now available on Netflix.
