This season of B&B Full of Love is about jealous men

By

For fans of The Bachelor, it's nothing new: a bit of venom between the participants, who, despite the fact that it's about love, also like to win the competition of who is the most likable. It's just not always so clear to see on screen, as we understood from Yvonne, who in the last episode of The Bachelor decided to open up about her last fellow contestant in the battle for Paul's heart. In the case of B&B Full of Love, this season is particularly different. The innocent program turns out to be full of competitively minded or even jealous men this season.

They all come in so self-assured that I immediately feel shivers running down my spine. It started with René the magician. After 24 hours, he already seemed a bit possessive because Iris's best friend came to claim their time together. When things didn't go as he had hoped, he decided to blame Iris for it. According to him, she had presented herself very differently in the video than how she actually is in real life. Unfortunately, he didn't explain exactly where the difference lay.

In South Africa, the competition is a bit calmer. This is mainly because Marcel is convinced that new guest Jacco is not suitable for life in South Africa. Therefore, he feels the need to act very tough towards Jacco when he tells that it was quite exciting that night, with lions circling around his tent. “I've never seen a lion open a tent zipper,” he remarks. He seems to have forgotten that he himself panicked so much from his night with impending stomach flu that he felt the need to tell Mirjam all about it in vivid detail. Romance was very far away for a moment.

But the biggest shocker is of course Joop. He is the best definition of being jealous, but also a bit delusional. When he walked in, he declared to Anja that he was going to win her heart. He probably not only cut himself in the fingers but also chopped off his whole hand. The fact that he wanted to take over the house by bringing his own belongings (the well-known coffee maker) didn't sit well. But when he became so jealous of newcomer Peter after a day or two, he decided to leave for the sake of his mental health. He gave Anja a lecture as if they had been in a two-year relationship where she constantly manipulated him. Fortunately, Anja remained so relaxed that she decided to let him rant and not worry about it. He wished Peter good luck with Anja, who according to him had two faces. I think the rest of the Netherlands mainly saw a very sweet, positive, and content woman who knows very well what makes her happy or not. And to think that we have just begun. How many more cringe moments will we have to endure? As far as I'm concerned, it can go on indefinitely.
