You don't want to miss these Christmas specials from your favorite TV shows

The big Christmas lovers among us have probably already seen all the clichéd Christmas movies and read the intensely predictable romantic Christmas stories. In short: it's time for new input. Fortunately, we still have something like ‘just watching TV’ instead of only streaming, and as Christmas approaches, more and more cozy Christmas shows will appear on the schedule. Hopping from channel to channel all day out of fear of missing one of your favorites might be a bit labor-intensive if you're trying to find relaxation. So don't worry, I've lined up the most fun things for you.
Important consideration: what are you most in the mood for?
There are quite a few different options, so it's handy to think about what you need. Do you want a Christmas quiz, simple reality, or are you going for the classic Christmas specials? I can't deny that I have a personal favorite: the ‘All you need is Love’ Christmas special. It would be strange if there was another show I was looking forward to more, as I am working on this show myself and I can spoil that it's going to be fantastic. At this moment, we have already recorded a few musical performances with fantastic artists, but we are still in the middle of the rest of the recordings, and we are going to make a lot of people happy next week. What could be more ‘Christmas spirit’ than spreading love across the country? So, a recommendation: December 24 at 8:30 PM on RTL4.
Reality lovers are really being spoiled this Christmas.
If you love real reality shows, you're probably also very satisfied: the Bauers, the Meilandjes, and the Kesbeke family all have a special Christmas episode. Unfortunately, the Meilandjes will be airing at the same time as ‘All you need is Love’ on SBS6, so they will have to wait. The Bauers have a whole series of Christmas episodes, which have been airing since December 10. But on December 24 at 9:20 PM, you can enjoy watching the Christmas dinner on NPO1. The Augurkenkoning is taking a smarter approach; you can see him on December 23 at 8:30 PM on RTL5.
Fortunately, there are also some shows that you can watch mindlessly.
Also so delightful: brain off and just stare at the chatter. That's the feeling I always have with ‘Heel Holland Bakt’. How soothing is it to see a few people carefully working on creating the most beautiful baked goods? This time, teams of Dutch celebrities are participating, including Trijntje Oosterhuis, Guus Meeuwis, and Mariska Bauer. So enjoy: December 24 at 10:05 PM on NPO1. But also fun quizzes like ‘Met het mes op tafel’, ‘2 voor 12’, and ’30 seconds' fall under this category. And after all this Christmas coziness, it's immediately time for the top 2000, of course. Who knows, maybe one day there will be another song besides Bohemian Rhapsody at number 1. But not this year, at least.
