These are the 7 best self-tanners for your face

By

Just six weeks left until spring begins! But unfortunately, that doesn't mean we can immediately sit in the sun again. Do you, like me, want to get rid of a white, dull skin? Then I have the best tips for a healthy, natural glow.

Here's how to apply self-tanner best:

  • Exfoliate your skin: This removes dead skin cells and ensures a prettier, more even complexion.
  • Use your hands or fingers for creams and drops, but for a spray, I recommend a kabuki brush for an even distribution.
  • Apply the product as evenly as possible, including over your ears and neck, to avoid color differences.
  • Wash your hands immediately after application to prevent stains.

The favorite self-tanners of the editorial team

  1. Tan-Luxe The Face
An absolute favorite of many beauty editors. So of course, I wanted to try this too! And indeed, I often use the drops for a natural result. Mix a few drops with your day cream, mix well, and apply evenly. Don't forget your neck!
  2. Collistar Magic Drops Face Self-Tanner
This is one of the most beloved self-tanners. The formula is oil-free and contains moisturizing ingredients like aloe vera and vitamin E. Note: you really only need a few drops for a nice effect.
  3. Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops
This vegan self-tanner is available in different intensities, so you can decide how deep your color gets.
  4. SOPHIA MAE Tremendously Tanned Facial Tanning Mist
You have to be lucky to get this, and that's not for nothing! This beautiful mist, from the brand of Monica Geuze, has a moisturizing effect. Note: it is quite intense, so don't use too much at once.
  5. Lancaster Self Tan Sun-Kissed Face Drops
You also mix this with your day cream. A few drops provide a beautiful, golden-brown glow, as we are used to from Lancaster. The more drops you use, the more intense the color becomes. Start with two or three drops and build it up slowly.
  6. MARC INBANE Natural Tanning Spray
I have been using this myself for years. Depending on what I feel like, I switch between the spray and drops. This is an absolute top choice! After spraying, I immediately use a kabuki brush to distribute everything well. To speed up the drying process, I use a hairdryer.
  7. Bodyologist Summer Dew Customizable Self-Tanning Drops
The favorite of my beauty colleague Lotte, because it is odorless and doesn't stick. These drops also contain high-quality ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerin, which hydrate, soften, and improve skin elasticity. Mix the drops with your day cream for a healthy glow.
