How old were you when you thought: yes, now we are going for it? It varies of course by situation and by couple, but there seems to be an ideal age to become a mother.
The CBS has researched what the best age is to start having children. And what turns out? About 9 out of 10 adults find it important that there is enough income to support a family. And of course, having a stable relationship between the parents is also important for raising a child. The perfect age to expand the family then? According to researchers, 25.8 years is the ideal age to become a mother, 26.8 years to become a father.
However, we do not listen to what we consider a nice age. On average, mothers are 29 years old when they become mothers and fathers even 32 years old, so up to six years older than ‘the ideal image’. Oh well, that number doesn't matter much. It's about how you feel about it and whether you are ready for it.
